Sharon Angle - New Hope/Bucks County Office

Sharon Angle earned her real estate license 18 years ago and has worked at Kurfiss SIR for most of that time. Before a career in sales, Angle worked for her local zoning and hearing board. She brings a unique understanding of zoning law to her business. She also mentors newer realtors in her office. At this special time in her life she is enjoying being a grandparent. Travel, theater and golf are favorite pastimes.

Troy Putt-Baker - Vice Chairman

Troy Putt-Baker joined Kurfiss Real Estate in 1992 as a PA Licensed Realtor. Previously he was Associate Executive Director of Lighthouse International, a New York City-based agency serving the needs of people with declining vision. Putt-Baker earned his Master of Arts degree in mass communications in 1968. He taught communications and coached debate at the University of North Dakota and the College of the Virgin Islands. While at Kurfiss SIR, Putt-Baker has held positions as manager of rentals, director of sales and marketing, manager of operations and now vice chairman. Putt-Baker handles community relationships, corporate giving and the referral program. He has lived in Bucks County since 1985 and at one time owned and operated a bed and breakfast in Upper Bucks.

Carole Barocca - New Hope/Bucks County Office

After earning her B.F.A. degree in Interior Design from Moore College of Art & Design, Carole Barocca followed her interest designing corporate interiors. She lived in Florence, Italy, for a time and speaks some Italian. In 2006 Barocca obtained real estate licenses in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and now enjoys selling beautiful homes. Currently she is studying for advance certifications in real estate and plans to sit for her associate broker's exam in the near future.

Karen Barone - Philadelphia/Center City Office

Based in Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty’s Center City Philadelphia office, Karen Barone is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has the distinction of having helped David Kurfiss open his real estate brokerage in New Hope, Pa., in the 1980s. She has also held positions in restaurant management, public relations and marketing. Barone resides in New Jersey and has a daughter and two grandsons.

Peter Dorrance Beyea - New Hope/Bucks County Office

Licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Peter Beyea has been a Realtor for seven years and has the added experience of having owned a mortgage company. A graduate of Lehigh University, Brad Bux has a degree in Urban Studies. After college he worked as a financial analyst for the Westrum Development Company. Jonathan Nguyen - Philadelphia/Center City Office

Prior to joining Kurfiss SIR, Jonathan D. Nguyen served as Vice President/Partner for the development firm Metropolis Management, LLC, a structured financial analyst at Arbor Commercial Mortgage, LLC, and a real estate financial analyst at Credit Suisse Group. Mr. Nguyen is a graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton and also studied at the Real Estate Institute of New York. Karen Nicolini - Philadelphia/Center City Office

A native of Philadelphia, Karen Nicolini has lived and worked all over the city. After graduating from Dartmouth College, she lived in Manhattan for 10 years, where she held positions in marketing and public relations. Prior to joining Kurfiss she worked at Dow Jones & Co. Inc. and was the producer of The Wall Street Journal Online’s free real-estate site. James Pearsall - New Hope/Bucks County Office

Jim Pearsall opened his first French restaurant at the very young age of 16 and was immediately given the attention of worldwide press after New York Times food editor Craig Claiborne raved about Jim’s restaurant, “Hill House.” In a full-page article, Claiborne gave it his highest rating – certainly making Pearsall the youngest chef ever to have earned that honor. After graduating from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and working at the three-star La Taillevent in Paris, France, Pearsall returned to the United States to open two more restaurants in northeastern Pennsylvania, where he met his wife, and Ft. Donald Pearson - Company Chairman

Donald Pearson, owner and Chairman of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Real Estate, is an international businessman and entrepreneur. A graduate of Brown University, he earned the Samuel T. Arnold Fellowship award. With the sponsorship of Thomas Watson of IBM, Pearson traveled and studied in Central America for one year. In 1967 he acquired an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and spent the next four years with the State Department in Brazil working in capital management and development. Pearson married a Brazilian and has two children. He is fluent in Portuguese. From 1971 to 1976 he worked for the EVP - Brasilia Final Conglomerate Nacional Brasiliero in Rio de Janeiro. He served as chairman of Midland Montague, Ltd., and Midland Bank of London during which time the bank held the third largest foreign bank presence in Brazil. He was also president of Samuel Montague London Merchant Bank, a local investment, banking and leasing company. In 1991 Pearson purchased Kurfiss Real Estate which at the time had one office in New Hope, Pa., and about 10 Realtors. Today the company has locations in New Hope, Main Line Philadelphia, center city Philadelphia and in Bethlehem, Pa., and has a sales force of about 75 real estate agents. Pearson joined the Sotheby’s International Realty network in August 2006. The following year he formed a Venture Capital Partnership in Brazil, International Venture Partners (IVP) which was transformed into TWW Wireless, located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Pearson continues to serve as chairman of this text messaging and paging corporation. Pearson is active in various positions in Sotheby’s International Realty and Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate. Carol Plesser - New Hope/Bucks County Office

Carol Plesser has lived in Bucks County for more than 30 years and has a keen appreciation for its history, culture, charm and beauty. As a former high school English teacher and market researcher, she brings strong organizational and communication skills and internet savvy to her work. Growing up, Plesser lived all over the United States and in France, attending 10 different schools in 12 years. These experiences give her first-hand knowledge of the stresses and challenges of relocating families. Plesser also enjoys gardening, reading, collecting antique maps and china, and exploring the Delaware River and Cape Cod Bay in her run-about, motorboat. Cary Simons - New Hope/Bucks County Office

Born and raised in Bucks County, Cary Simons earned a B.F.A. degree in graphic design and marketing from West Chester University in West Chester, Pa. Simons’s family is very involved in real estate: her father’s family is in residential and commercial construction/development, while her mother has 20 years’ experience as a successful real-estate agent. Simons previously handled marketing, graphic design, public relations and photography for an architecture/engineering firm, and that experience now informs her real-estate practice. Sarah Stauffer - Bethlehem/Lehigh Valley Office

With a B.A. degree in economics from Connecticut College, Sarah Stauffer began her career in mortgage banking. Melanie Stecura recently joined the Kurfiss SIR Philadelphia office. She acquired her real estate license in 2007. Stecura's background includes a B.A. degree in art history and studio art from the Redlands University in California. In college Kevin Steiger pursued a business degree and later worked as a stockbroker and a travel agent. He obtained New Jersey and Pennsylvania real estate licenses four years ago.
