The December 2012 Significant Sales from Sotheby’s International Realty are hot off the press. The December list includes many fine properties from New York and Colorado, with the top spot going to Sotheby’s International Realty-Bridgehampton Brokerage for an exquisite 18-acre property that sold for $23.5 million, pictured at left.

A sale in the center of Aspen, Colo.’s downtown core took the No. 2 spot at $20,750,000, followed by a residence on Oyster Harbors, Cape Cod’s exclusive private island off the coast of Massachusetts. Buying this 26-acre peninsula  with a 7,000-square-foot main residence, separate beach house and countless amenities cost a cool $19,500,000.
