North Wales is a charming borough nestled inside of Montgomery County. Settled by Welsh immigrants, the once rural town was part of a 1702 land grant from William Penn himself. As years passed, the small village developed as an escape for city dwellers and as a commercial center for locals. In 1857, a railway finally connected Philadelphia with the growing borough which led to more visitors and development.

Modernity has been kind to the quaint borough. It retains many single homes, twins and rowhomes from yesteryear. These structures accentuate the history of the borough through their architecture. Outside of the borough there is plenty of new construction homes as well. SEPTA connects the borough to Philadelphia and Doylestown. For a relatively small borough, there are quite a few parks in North Wales--six of them to be exact. Outside of main street, the commercial center of the borough, residential streets run long and straight. These residential streets are lined with tall mature trees. Walk far enough and one is sure to discover a pleasant, undiscovered corner.

The North Wales Area Library is a surprisingly modern and comprehensive library for a borough the size of North Wales. Completed in 2010, the facility serves North Wales Elementary School as well as the public.

As mentioned, there are a variety of house types available in North Wales. With an average home price around $315,000, there are many affordable options in North Wales for new families. North Wales offers a walkable, low crime town with major employers closeby.
