NEW HOPE, PA – Donald D. Pearson, chairman of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty, spoke on "Cross-Border Marketing" at the 6th Annual Luxury Real Estate Spring Retreat in San Diego in mid-April.

Donald D. Pearson, chairman of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty, spoke on "Cross-Border Marketing" at the 6th Annual Luxury Real Estate Spring Retreat in San Diego in mid-April.

While Kurfiss SIR specializes in selling properties in Bucks County and the greater Philadelphia area, recently Pearson began listing properties in Brazil, a country where he has kept a home since the late 1960s. The listings can be seen at http://www.kurfiss.com/brazil.

Two Brazil listings that are garnering ample attention from potential buyers are at opposite ends of the price spectrum: One is a private island with a luxury home and guest bungalows off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, priced at $10,640,000, and the other listing is a contemporary-style guesthouse on the beach in Bahia for only $150,000.

"At the conference I emphasized how agents can target domestic and international buyers as well as the importance of responding quickly to their inquiries," said Pearson. He has fielded inquiries about the Brazil listings from all over the world, largely because of the property’s web presence and some targeted print ads.

In addition to Pearson and several other discussion leaders, the 6th Annual Spring Retreat featured two main speakers: Ben Stein, the famous actor and economist, and Kaira Sturdivant Rouda, president of Real Living, Inc., one of the fastest-growing real-estate franchises in the United States.

Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty is a privately owned real-estate firm with headquarters in New Hope, Pa., and additional offices on the Main Line, in Center City Philadelphia and in the Lehigh Valley. Its 80 agents serve the southeastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey areas.
