Donald D. Pearson, chairman of Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty, announced today that Brushwood, a superbly restored, 30-room mansion in Bernardsville, N.J., has sold. Daniel Leuzzi of Kurfiss SIR's New Hope office was the listing agent.
Brushwood was completed in 1904 for Alice Ballantine of the Newark, N.J.-based brewery family. Built of fieldstone, the residence sits atop 28 acres just outside of Bernardsville Borough. It was meticulously restored by the sellers and has 11 bedrooms and 10 full baths in 14,000 square feet of living space.
The home was listed for $9,750,000 and sold within six months of being listed by Kurfiss SIR.
