Like the booming neighborhoods of Fishtown and Francisville, Graduate Hospital is quickly becoming a real estate hotbed--and for good reason. Development has increased, new businesses have realized the potential of the area, and the neighborhood is just southwest of Center City.

Residents enjoy a plethora of walkable dining destinations, pubs and wine bars. Bob and Barbara’s Lounge (featuring live Jazz on weekends), The Cambridge (a popular gastropub), Rex 1516 (providing Southern/Cajun style fare) and My Thai (quintessential pad Thai joint) are just a few establishments Graduate Hospital has to offer. In the mood to bring your own? The neighborhood has over a dozen BYOB options as well.

The west end of the neighborhood is bordered by Naval Square, and ultimately the Schuylkill River. Once a United States Naval Academy, the area has been completely revamped into a unique, distinct neighborhood. The gated community offers residents parking spots, security and a general suburban feel.

The Northwest corner of Graduate Hospital accesses the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk, a picturesque walkway that is suspended over water. Joggers, bikers and sightseers can head north on this unique trail and end up at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Though, there are also other recreational destinations in the neighborhood--Marian Anderson Park provides the community with green spaces, baseball field, basketball court and indoor recreation center. The east side of the neighborhood is bordered by Broad Street, or as it’s also know, the Avenue of the Arts.

Vibrant and entertaining South Street borders the north of the neighborhood. Eclectic, mostly independently owned shops, music venues and eateries keep South Street buzzing. Residents of Graduate Hospital enjoy a distinctive neighborhood full of pleasant surprises.
