About Me

Associate broker and all-around creative thinker Virginia Baltzell is a long-time Philadelphia resident who brings a strong combination of real estate and design experience to her position with Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty’s Philadelphia office. She began her real estate career with Albert M. Greenfield Co., Inc., where she marketed residential and commercial real estate, including historic buildings for renovation. She then went on to become Broker of Record and Managing Director at Delta Partners Inc.,  where she oversaw new business development, property marketing, sales training and event planning. In the midst of her real estate work, Virginia found time to launch a design career, where her work on interior and exterior spaces dovetailed with much of her real estate activity.

Through Baltzell Design Collection, Virginia also markets decorative and functional art and antiques, designs products in collaboration with artisans and importers and plans special promotional events.
Virginia came into her career well prepared with a B.A. in Art History and Architecture from Boston University, coursework in real estate at Temple University, time in the Decorative Arts Certificate Program at Moore College of Art and other educational experiences.

A resident of Chestnut Hill, Virginia gives her time to a diverse array of community organizations, including Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and Philadelphia Museum of Art. She has also served the Fairmount Park Preservation Trust, Creative Artists Network, Please Take Museum, Painted Bride Arts Center and University of the Arts. Virginia is a member of the Board of Directors at The Alabama Ore and Iron Company, a member of the Philadelphia Board of Realtors and last but not least, a member of the Dumpster Divers Club.
