About The Ayer

Built for the N.W. Ayer advertising agency in 1928, this stunning example of Art Deco architecture was converted to 56 luxury condominiums in 2006 by Blue Bell, Pa.-based Goldenberg Development. Wesley Wei served as the principal architect for the conversion. Wei managed to preserve the best of the building's features - mainly the facade and stunning lobby -- while creating residences with open main living spaces and very contemporary kitchens and baths. Just over 20 of the residences have balconies.

Most of the residences at the Ayer have been customized beyond the builder's original features, but all have large windows, replaced with energy-efficient versions of the historical windows in the building, and many of these condos enjoy park and city views. The Ayer's facade faces east and is directly on Washington Square, typically a quieter patch of green than Rittenhouse Square to its west. With the park so close, The Ayer is a perfect building for dog owners and is known as being very pet friendly.

The Ayer is a luxury building and as such, its residents enjoy 24/7 doorman service, a parking valet, a chauffeured luxury sedan, a fitness center and common terrace.
