    It can be difficult to get your arms around Radnor, Pa. The unincorporated municipality straddles two townships, Tredyffrin in Chester County and Radnor in Delaware County (with a handful of homes in Upper Merion Township also having Radnor Pa., addresses, just to make it a bit more complicated), and homes here have either a 19087 or 19010 ZIP code. Most commonly people seem to consider it a Delaware County address, and in fact, that is where the largest number of its homes are situated.

    Radnor is definitely a sought-after Philadelphia suburb that has a healthy number of residences priced at $750,000 or more. In fact, in 2016, out of 22 homes sales with Radnor, PA addresses, only two homes sold there for less than $500,000. More affordable townhouses and condominiums are in short supply there.

    A big reason Radnor is so desirable is the Radnor Township School District. But even parents who choose to send their children to private school have many convenient options.

    The other big draw for Radnor as a place to buy a home is its proximity to major commuter routes and access to SEPTA mass transit via the Radnor train station. With easy access to I-476 (the “Blue Route”), residents can head to Philadelphia by picking up I-76. Or hop on a train to Center City Philadelphia and be there in about 20 minutes at rush hour.

    Radnor Township’s motto is “The Best Place to Live, Work and Do Business on the Main Line”, and it is home to some very large employers based at the Radnor Corporate Center and surrounding area. These employers include Main Line Health’s corporate offices; Lincoln Financial, TEK Systems, AirGas regional headquarters and quite a few financial-and asset-management firms.

    For those who enjoy time outside, Radnor has about 400 acres devoted to parks and recreation. Some of the more popular parks include the Radnor Trail, a 2.4-mile path for running, biking, dog walking and even roller blading.
