Area Guides for Philadelphia and the Surrounding Counties in Pennsylvania & New Jersey

Here’s a Hint: Spring

Like many other markets across the United States, the real estate market in the greater Philadelphia region is feeling the spring rush. That’s because, as market experts profess, spring is the most prudent time to list one’s property for sale. put together an info-graphic on the topic below:

When to list your home for sale? While there are some regional differences, mid-March to mid-April seems to be the sweet spot. A confluence of factors makes Spring a favorable time to sell. We’re not asserting that this is universally true, but the numbers certainly look favorably on listing during spring. Let’s take a look:

1.) There will be more buyers. With a greater pool of buyers, listings are seen more, thus, giving them a better chance at selling.

2.) Properties sell more quickly. Again, this is due to the higher volume buyers in spring. Take a look at this graphic on homes listed during spring: Blog_When-to-List_ZillowTalk_c_01-d6832a1

3.) Homes tend to sell for a higher price in Spring.
