Philadelphia Real Estate Market Great for Home Buyers, Doylestown Homes Offer

Home buyers in Philadelphia are now calling the shots, reports Zillow’s Market Research team. Zillow-RE-researchhome-value-indexHome sellers have the power if you live in the technology corridors of San Jose, San Francisco and Seattle. On average, the ZHVI (Home value Index) was up 3.9 percent over the same time last year. In Philadelphia, those values only grew 2.1 percent, slightly behind the trends. What that means for the home buyers in Philadelphia is that sellers have had their homes on the market a little bit longer on average that in other parts of the country and therefore are more anxious to sell.

Home Buyers Have The Power in Philadelphia

As of this post, there are 362 Real Estate listings in Rittennhouse Square, 317 real estate listings in Fairmount – Art Museum area and 326 in the Northern Liberties area of Philadelphia. That is quite a bit of inventory and some of these properties for sale have have been available for more that nine months or more. If you are a home buyer wishing to find an incredible home in these three very trendy areas of center city, you have got the negotiating power and we encourage you to take advantage of this softer market now. In Bucks County, with the exception of certain areas, the homes inventory is not as lucrative for the home buyer. One of those exceptions is Doylestown.
