With an eye for design that has helped her to create a successful home design and staging business, Amelie Escher has become an exceptional advisor to her clients whether they are buying an older home in need of renovation or an existing home in great condition that simply needs to fit a client's lifestyle or add some character. In sum, for Amelie, it’s about finding solutions for clients.
“I like to look at how clients want to live, understand what is important to them and then craft a plan tailor-made to them. Solutions that are specific to what they are looking for,” says Amelie. “Real estate was the natural progression for the work I was doing. I can see the potential for space rather than what it is in its present state.”
Born and raised in Princeton, N.J., Amelie is a graduate of The Lawrenceville School and Kenyon College, where she earned a B.A. in Art History. She later worked for Merrill Lynch and attended interior design classes at the University of California-Los Angeles. Amelie is certified by Home Staging Resource, one of the only nationally recognized programs in this skill, in home staging.
It is nearly impossible for Amelie’s enthusiasm and upbeat nature to go unnoticed – she is outgoing and gregarious. She also is very comfortable using technology to communicate with clients, using whatever channel they prefer. Licensed to sell real estate in Pennsylvania, Amelie has a great deal of experience evaluating contractors and subcontractors in the greater Philadelphia area. This has been particularly helpful to clients buying investment properties and historical homes.
In her free time, she enjoys watercolor painting, time at the New Jersey shore and hunting down treasures at auctions and antique shops. She also volunteers for Trinity Episcopal Church’s annual rummage sale in Princeton, where her knowledge of each year’s inventory and ability to manage a crowd is valued by the entire group running this fundraising event.
Amelie is based in Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty’s New Hope office.

As you know Amelie Escher focused on selling our home this summer.
Amelie success in selling 515 Clydesdale Drive was beyond our expectations. After a well thought out presentation given to us by Amelie and Michael, we chose Kurfiss to market our home.
Wow! What an outstanding job of marketing which included a set of marvelous pictures by your photographer.
Amelie perched at our house for three open houses, beside the agents open house. She was readily available by phone, Email, and in person to deal with all our worries and questions. She was there whenever there was a showing. Her personality was tremendously reassuring to our anxiety about selling our house within the 90 day window our new place set for occupancy. She even laughed at my jokes!
Within a month, she had the offer of $525,000 for our home. We accepted with an early closing date of August 24 because the buyers wanted their children to start school on time.
In two months time we sold a home, scattered out half of our household goods by donating to various recipients, did the closing, drove to DC, and took possession of our new residence.
