Stephanie Viggiano is a Philly area transplant, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated with a bachelor’s in German from Bryn Mawr College and is continuing her education part-time at Columbia University in the MS Strategic Communication program. Stephanie has written for USA Today, Huffington Post, International Organization for Beauty & Fashion Bloggers, and her scholarly work has been cited in articles within the Journal of Visual Culture and the Review of Disability Studies.
Stephanie ventured into social media management as a regional and national volunteer leader for Amnesty International. Her four-years-long volunteer leadership within Amnesty was honored in 2010 with an Activist of the Year Award on behalf of the Amnesty International Mid-Atlantic Region and was later nationally recognized in 2011 with an invitation to a small private breakfast reception with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
After managing social media for Amnesty International USA’s regional and national conferences, she managed social for the Saint Joseph’s University Graduate Studies and went on to write content for Visit Philadelphia’s “Philly Homegrown" initiative. She has since spent time in the corporate marketing world, working at organizations like Philadelphia specialty food purveyor, Di Bruno Bros. and global footwear leader, Dansko.
Her love for marketing, design, and architecture led to a full-time position as Assistant Director of Marketing at Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty in Philadelphia, PA. In her free time, she loves to learn, photograph, travel, and write.
