Valerie Patterson oversees all online and print marketing efforts at Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty, including photography, print advertising, media planning, direct mail and newer channels including social media and videography. She considers the agents at the company her clients and works toward helping them market the properties they list, all done with the goal of helping every property, regardless of price, make its best impression in the marketplace.
Prior to joining Kurfiss SIR she worked at Dow Jones & Co. Inc. and was the producer of The Wall Street Journal Online's real-estate site. While at Dow Jones she was a frequent guest on CNBC, CNN, and FOX News. Before covering real estate, Val worked for National Business Employment Weekly at Dow Jones, covering executive career and job-search issues. She began her career in editorial and ad production roles at a national nonprofit. She holds a bachelor's degree in German and Communications from Cedar Crest College and an M.A. degree in speech communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Val also reinforced her interest in historical properties by completing several courses in Historic Preservation at Bucks County Community College.
She serves as a Board member of the Lambertville, N.J.-based Riverside Symphonia and is a volunteer and foster for two Cavalier King Charles spaniel rescue organizations.
